PurposeThe management of day-to-day insurance matters for the Company, including oversight of insurance compliance by Company vendors.
Essential FunctionsDuties and Responsibilities
Interpret and guide Company personnel on contractual insurance provisions and requirements
Collaborate with team members, management, and other Company personnel on projects involving risk and risk mitigation
Maintain an efficient workflow process to receive, review and issue required documentation, and monitor the status of Company and vendor insurance policies
Correspond with underwriters and vendors to obtain missing/incomplete documentation and ensure compliance with applicable law and Company requirements
Work with local purchasing department teams to ensure continuous compliance with Company insurance requirements and risk tolerances
Assist with management of Company’s internal corporate insurance program
Other duties as assigned
QualificationsKnowledge and Skills
Intermediate knowledge of insurance policies
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent people skills, with an ability to collaborate with individuals at all levels of an organization
Solid project management skills
Ability to gather and analyze information from multiple sources
Flexible and able to multi-task and establish priorities
Able to work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment
Willingness to communicate on the phone routinely throughout the workday
Ability to always meet deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and business-related software
Education & Work Experience
College degree or significant experience in the insurance industry
3+ years of experience with insurance products and compliance is required
Prior homebuilding industry experience preferred but not required
